Parc du domaine Vert Outing
I decided to go paint at the ¨Parc du Domaine Vert ¨in Mirabel
,Qc today . It is about 12 kilometers from my home and today
was a chilling -10 c but a beautiful day . I tried for the first time
a new pair of snowshoes I just bought recently . I'ts not easy to
put them on especially with my packsack on my back .Nonethe-
less I was very happy with my painting even though it was a
difficult condition to paint . There are several trails to walk on
and you can also ski . I took several photos of my painting and I
will put them all on this blog .

recent paintings
Here are a few paintings I've did this week . they were
all painted from a walking distance from my home . The
reason being that I had a problem with my car and they
had to tow it to the garage . It was too old to repare it so
I sent it to the scrap yard . So now , I'm without a car but
in a way I'll get to walk more often and stay in shape .

Paint out in Gatineau park
This past weekend was a blessing for me . I was invited to
go out and paint the Gatineau Park . It was for me the first
time I painted there and I fell in love with this beautiful
nature reserve. Although it was quite beautiful , we had
horrific weather , it was windy like I rarely saw before .
My friend Sylvio Gagnon and I painted at the Champlain
lookout , a breathtaking picturesque panoramic view .
We managed to paint all weekend although it was snow-
ing on sunday morning . I thank my friend Sylvio for
beeing my guide during the weekend . I also was a guest
and stayed at his house for the weekend .I really
appreciate and would like to thank him and his wife
Monique , merci .

What's new !
Well , I haven't been writing for several months now . The reason is ,
first of all , my sister passed away in May . She had been fighting cancer
for over a year but finally lost her battle with cancer . Secondly , I've
re evaluated my position as an artist . Where do I stand ? How can I
survive in this life while doing what I like . I've often said to myself
¨ if I can't live doing what I want , which is painting , then , I don't want
to paint at all ¨ . I still think the same way today and I talked to one of
my friend who is having the same dilema as me , he is living on wefare
because he is experimenting pain in his legs which cripples him and
limits him in his work .But we managed to talk and we are planning
to rent a space , in the near future , where we can give painting lessons .
Anyway , it's only a thought for now but , who knows?

Lemon tea break
still life trio
When I get the winter blues , I tend to be depressed and thats when I
put my energy in creating small still lives .I like the term ¨still life ¨.
Contrary to the word ¨nature morte ¨in french , which means dead life,
in english , life is still , there for us to see . I gathered what was left in
the fridge . I will be posting a few of these still lives I did earlier .

This scene has been painted en plein air during the Prevost
